Back-to-School Health Screenings is a Free, Humanitarian Initiative we
deliver across multiple visits during the school term. Our team conducts routine checks: basic oral health screening with practical hygiene guidance, vision screening for distance acuity with referral when needed, and separate sessions to measure height, weight, and BMI. We offer age-appropriate health education (e.g., handwashing and healthy snacks). The focus is on early identification of common issues and steady support to help schools maintain everyday student wellbeing.

Aims

  • Promote everyday well-being and readiness to learn among primary school children.

  • Reduce preventable health problems through early detection and simple guidance.

  • Strengthen healthy routines in school environments (hygiene, nutrition, activity).

  • Support school staff with clear, practical information to act on health concerns.

Objectives

  • Conduct periodic oral, vision, and growth screenings during the school term.

  • Provide immediate, age-appropriate health messages that children can apply the same day.

  • Issue simple referrals when screening indicates a need for further assessment.

  • Encourage consistent classroom hygiene practices (e.g., handwashing routines).
