Back-to-School Health Screenings is a Free, Humanitarian Initiative we
deliver across multiple visits during the school term. Our team conducts routine checks: basic oral health screening with practical hygiene guidance, vision screening for distance acuity with referral when needed, and separate sessions to measure height, weight, and BMI. We offer age-appropriate health education (e.g., handwashing and healthy snacks). The focus is on early identification of common issues and steady support to help schools maintain everyday student wellbeing.
Aims
Promote everyday well-being and readiness to learn among primary school children.
Reduce preventable health problems through early detection and simple guidance.
Strengthen healthy routines in school environments (hygiene, nutrition, activity).
Support school staff with clear, practical information to act on health concerns.
Objectives
Conduct periodic oral, vision, and growth screenings during the school term.
Provide immediate, age-appropriate health messages that children can apply the same day.
Issue simple referrals when screening indicates a need for further assessment.
Encourage consistent classroom hygiene practices (e.g., handwashing routines).
